Historic Camp
Richardson Resort is Lake Tahoe's #1 Year Round Recreation Resort.
Located on Lake Tahoe's southwest shore, we are the closest resort
to Emerald Bay as well as the gateway to the Desolation Wilderness.
Whether you're looking to kayak along the shores past the turn of
the century estates and catch a glimpse of the beautiful bald eagle,
or try snowshoeing for the first time, Camp Richardson Resort is
your headquarters for recreation.

Located along
miles of sandy beach, the Camp Richardson Marina offers everything
from Seadoo and power boat rentals, to paddle boats and kayak rentals.
Kids and adults alike will enjoy relaxing on our long stretch of
beach and swimming area. Still looking for ways to have fun in the
sun while at Camp Richardson? Try the Lake Tahoe Waterski School
or Parasailing.
With the closest
marina to Emerald Bay and the lake's newest pier, the Camp Richardson
Marina offers an endless array of ways to have fun exploring the
emerald blue waters of Lake Tahoe. A fuel station, as well as launching
and mooring facilities are available for those who would like to
bring their own boat up to the lake. Open seven days a week from
8:00 AM until 8:00 PM, the Camp Richardson Marina also offers the
longest boating season at Lake Tahoe with fall specials running
through October. For more information contact the marina directly
at 530-542-6570.

For those looking
to mountain bike on some of the finest trails found in the United
States, stop by the Mountain Sports Center at Historic Camp Richardson
Resort. With the lake's largest and best selection of bikes to rent,
and the most up-to-date information on where to ride or hike, the
Mountain Sports Center also features a large selection of maps,
guidebooks, and bike accessories. Located right on a paved bike
path, the Mountain Sports Center is the closest bike rental location
to the Tallac Historic Estates, The Forest Service Visitor Center
and Stream Profile Chamber, as well as several small alpine lakes
and waterfalls. For those looking for an off-road mountain biking
adventure, countless trails and fire roads lead directly from Camp
Richardson to surrounding peaks and ridges.

"Surely
the fairest picture the whole earth affords." |
Once the snow
flies the fun continues with snowshoeing and cross-country skiing
at the Mountain Sports Center. Recently voted "The Best Place to
Cross-Country Ski" by Tahoe locals, the Mountain Sports Center offers
groomed and marked trails and is the only place in Lake Tahoe where
you can ski along the shores of the water. With a wide selection
of skiis and snowshoes, we also offer lessons and the ever popular
